Description
Kirigakure ftw.
Uhm- soyeah, the original originality of my OC Sen; what I had planned before, during, and after the whole SL with my friend with Kabuto. This is what she'd be like if they have never met, and how I am currently portraying her.
Anyhooters, I had help from a nice referring person, who referenced me some reference sites to refer to for drawing Naruto characters. 8D I mixed together Hinata and Tenten for Sen, because those are the main two that inspire her appearance and clothing theme.
I don't know how I'm going to color this. I'd love to clean it up and do it on Paint, but I'm too impatient for that. I'll probably do coloring with pencils...I just hate coloring.
Appearance
Black hair
Grey eyes { they were light blue, but there are so many OC's with black hair and blue eyes }
Pale skin
Dark gray pants
Black undershirt
Long-sleeved half-waist jacket { You know before the characters were even shown in Shippuden and Hinata's jacket color was back and forth between lavender and navy-gold? It's the losing color - The sleeves are gold while the body is blue and so are the cuffs }
Sandals match the gold color- { As Rache told me, you must always compliment each aspect of someone's clothing. Example: Tenten's pants compliment the strip on her blouse; Ino's knee nettings with her elbow nettings; Sakura's red shirt with her hitai-ate; Hinata's jacket with her eyes; etc }
Weapon
THE CHAIN. YES.
ZOMG.
Her fighting style is basically ~twirl, twirl + SPEEDY GONZALEZ = break dancing.
She can't hold it out for too long, because the faster you are, the more tired you become. Her objective is to eliminate or disarm her opponent as fast as she possibly can before she tires out.
As for her chain, she mostly uses it in defensive { normal } mode, but with a command, the links bend and turn up in spikes which she then uses for some serious shredding. 8D It may be hard to tell in the last image, but basically she whips it out from behind her before bringing it to the front. She controls it with chakra, like a puppet deal. It always stays wrapped around her stomach.
She keeps two scrolls within the pouches on her pants { I forgot to add them on the 'from the behind' portrayal } which are basically her last resorts.
Once I get the hang of drawing a chain-looking beast, I'll let ya know.

Nice drawing style - it's got that ultra-clean look I recognise from the shipuuden settei
The chain's a cool weapon, too... I always thought those chain-wielding guys from volume 2 should have got more screen time
I like how it doubles up as a belt!
As for coloring ... tried COPIC markers? They give you a nice neat coloring effect and are much cheaper than a tablet .... It's how I started off in art anyways and I still use them from time to time
Grab a set of five or so - one flesh tone, one shadow color (browny grey), a few other helpful tones and a fineliner that won't bleed (letraset ones always work well).
